Oldfield Road
Turn left from the property entrance.
The local shortcut
This is the route local people use from Hazelwick to North Terminal. Most mapping apps miss part of it, so keep this page open and use the numbered landmarks.
Three distinct sections
Turn left from Hazelwick and follow Oldfield Road to ASDA Express / Texaco on Brighton Road. At the Longbridge roundabout, use the pedestrian crossing towards ESSO, then pass Airport Inn to Travelodge. The dashed shortcut uses Travelodge’s smaller left-side car park, the wooden bridge and the leafy route through Northgate Car Park before it rejoins the airport footpath.
Leave Hazelwick, turn left and follow Oldfield Road to ASDA Express / Texaco on Brighton Road.
Turn left at the forecourt. At the roundabout, use the pedestrian crossing towards ESSO, then pass Airport Inn to Travelodge.
The main Travelodge car park is on the right. Take the smaller side car park on the left and walk to its far end.
Cross the small wooden bridge and follow the leafy route into Northgate Car Park. Stay on the route and do not cut across the grass.
At the far end, join the marked pedestrian route. BP (formerly Shell) is on the right; continue towards Premier Inn and Sofitel.
Follow signs to the covered walkway / travelator opposite Sofitel. For South Terminal and the railway station, take the free inter-terminal shuttle.
Open one point at a time
Use these pins in order. The bridge and the route through Northgate Car Park are the part ordinary map directions can miss.

Good to know: allow extra time with luggage, in poor weather or after dark. Paths, crossings and airport access arrangements can change. If anything feels unclear, return to a recognised public path or use a local taxi.
